Hi Angela,

I don't do site reviews - no time. But I took a quick peek and here's 2 easy to fix suggestions.

Your home page title is "page 1". The title meta tag is the most important for search engine traffic and your home page can get the highest rankings. So you need to do ekyword research to find the best keywords and then write a short descriptive title. Example (NOT RESEARCHED). Cyber stalking - online Internet harrassment victims.

Centered text paragraphs are bad form and hard to read. You need to "justify" all your text so it's neater and reads better.

Hi Angela,
Linda has a couple great points. For SEO, your page title is useless unless you're deliberately trying to rank for Page 1. Also, large blocks of centered text is difficult to read on a computer, however, I will add a caution to using justified text on a computer. For wide columns, justified text can be just as difficult to read. Your safest bet is simply to align your text to the left.

As for the design itself, I'd suggest revamping your header. Currently, you don't have one and the header text (I assume) is weak. You want it to catch your reader's attention and immediately tell her why she needs to read your page. Instead of leading in with "Angela's story and what happened in the cyber world", consider using one of the supplementary questions below as the headline - i.e. "Are you currently being cyber stalked? Would you know it if you were?" and then lead into your personal story.

The goal of your site is to have people actually read the content. Right now, there is a ton of content on the page, but none of it entices me to read it. (By the way, I'm not saying your content is bad, just how you're directing the people on your site.) People need to be told where to go on your site. That's accomplished with the information and call to actions that you put above the fold.

Now, that banner about mid-way down the page - what is that about? I'm a strong believer in purpose and currently, the banner seems to serve no purpose on the site and is actually distracting. Is it currently a revenue generating banner? If so, you may want to put some padding between the text so people know that it's not actually part of the design.

Finally, your page breaks in Firefox toward the bottom. The text actually continues beyond the content background.

Hope that helps,
~ Teli

Teli,
Is there any way I can talk to you off forum list, I am so confused and would like to have help, I am pretty new at all this and read your post just lost on how and where to start. I would really appreciate it. I Thank you for replying to my post, I would not know what I did wrong or have a clue that there are frames (whatever that means) and so on....

Thank you,
Angela

Linda,
Thank you, I am going to do the suggestions you have mentioned, in the hopes I can do it right. I have had some problems getting the text to align right so that is why I went with centered. I am having a heck of a time with the page and it doing what you stated, I think I have to redo the entire page and re-publish it so that it doesn't say page 1 on the html. part.

I am rather lost here, but am taking everyone's advise very seriously in the hopes it will help me improve what I want to accomplish with my site.

Thanks everyone!
Angela

Hi Angela,

I suggest you can change the font in your website to the same type of font. I can see that there a few kind of font on a page which make my eyes uncomfortable. Maybe you can do something about it.
