I think it is very clean and organized. I am no pro, but I like it. I like the earth tones.

Good job Didi,

Nice little niche and I like the soft earthones too.

Important suggestion. Pretend you are shopping and have never seen your site. You are looking for Cats Door Stops. The stuff I'm door stops I'm looking for are below the fold and you may not scroll down if you don't see what you are looking for right away. I think shoppers like to see product pics.

If you are looking for Cats Door Stops you see a couple on the right above the fold but those arent contextual and don't show me what I"m looking for.

Do you think you'll make more on Adsense or Ebay?

If it were my site I think I'd put the top Adsense on the right sidebar so the category products are up above the fold. Get the category pics up there so they see what they are looking for and it will help get them to scroll down til they see something they like.

If I pretend I'm shopping and not that savvy - I don't realize the product name is clickable cuz the color is plain black and it does not look like a link. (Notice the Adsense ads and sidebar auctions all have unlined links making it more obvious you can click for more info.) I'd make product titles blue underlined or maybe Orange to go with your earth tones. You may also want to add a "more info" link under the product title.

So I see one that looks cute. The only obvious options are "Place a bid" or "Add to watch list". Well I don't have enough info to want to buy it yet. I need to maybe see a close up, see how big it is or see what material its made of.

You need to make it OBVIOUS and easy for me to click so I can get more info and let the auction page sell me. You also need to get me to click through so I get cookied. Your job is not to close the sale but to get me to click through to the merchant or in this case, the auction.

If this was a computer page it may not be as critical. I assume middle aged women would be a big % of the customers interested in these. Some may not be super techy, so K.I.S.S.

I'm no expert at page design or usability. So this is only my opinion.
But it's based on pretending I'm a potential buyer so that's my long winded 2 cents!

Here are my 2 cents:
- first, the site looks a little crowded, you made it 780 pixels wide, but you might think of 995 pixels (that will work for 1024x768) I don't think there are so many visitors out there using a lower screen resolution
- second, when you click on a category, all you see is...the Google ads. You have to scroll down to see the actual products, which somehow gives the feeling that you don't have any products in that category
- I can't see any contact details for the site. Contact (even a form) is a must in establishing trust and connect to your buyers.
- the left menu should show what page are you in. So when you are in the Birds Door Stops page, this should be the highlighted entry in the menu
- logo. People are expecting to have a link behind the logo, pointing to the homepage
- auxiliary pages. You need to have some auxiliary pages

Thank you both of you for your suggestion, sorry for late respond

Unfortunately I can't do all changed but some I can.
Linda your idea of changing the link color was good idea, considering my potential buyers.
Most people just look for "Decorative Door Stops" and looking for ideas or to browse a slection. so creating many categories could be the solution for them.

Since eBay trying to make everything easy for the buyers even if they're not expert in all the digital stuff I hope the buyers won't have difficulty going to eBay and place a bid.

You got good point, I actually did not made a contact details but the introduction in the front page and mentioning a trust site like eBay can to the job.

I can actually do that, but it will remove all the other pages and show you what page you're in. I though people will want better way to move from page to page instead of going to the homepage again and again.

Thanks again for your suggestion, I appreciate it

As I checked my site stats now I was a little wrong, people do search for specific prodcuts. I got a few visitors from sheep door stop and doorstops fish
I did keywords reserach before but I guess those get only a few hit a day at the major search engines.

You don't need to remove the other entries. Just when you are in "Cats Door Stops" this should be with bold or something in the menu.

I like the color scheme, but for my taste it scrolls to long on the homepage...I prefer a concise site with good navigation instead of scrolling homepage...
