Default Please Review My Site and Give Pointers

Hello,
I have been working on getting my first site up for about a month now. I would appreciate any reviews and advice on how to make it better.

As far as promotion, I have started ppc, I have a blog and have submitted one article to ezinearticles so far. I have been getting about 15-20 visitors a day. I know this is not enough to really make money, but it seems like it would be enough to make a few cents a day on adsense??? So far i have not made one cent. It is really discouraging to have worked so hard and not see any profit. Please tell me what I should expect and what is realistic to expect from adsense.

My site is on the subject of Pickup Artist and seduction. The site address is
www.pickuplegion.com

thanks in advance for the help

Hi nstagate,

Welcome to 5 Star.

Only have time for a quick suggestion. The 1st thing I noticed is you title is wrong. Can't even figure out why it would be this way.

The title tag for your homepage is one of the most important things for search engines. Your site is Pickup Legion. Why is your title tag The - Art Home? Does not make sense and it's wasting your most important space.

It does not need to be your site name but should have your main keywords you are targeting. Since pickup is part of your site name and key to your topic it should be included, but Legion does not need to be. "How to Pick Up Women" is too overused to get any traffic from but it should be something like that. (Need to do keyword research to find the right KW.) Don't waste that precious space with words like the or dashes - ideally anyway.

Sorry I don't have time for more but some of our other members may weigh in.

Oh and try not to get discouraged. You just need to work on getting more traffic and finding the right keywords for your blog and article titles that have something unique people are searching for but that's not too competitive.

I didnt have time to look to see if you are promoting affiliate programs, but AFTER you work on more content, SEO and building up traffic, then adding affiliate programs could earn more for you than Adsense.

Default Some pointers

Hi

I would recommend either using the header image you have and try to develope and bring some colour into the site based on this image or lose the header image for an alternative. I dont think it flows correctly.

Like linda said, your title tag is not very good. I would recommend changing this to something more suited to your site. There is no need for home, home page or index page in a title tag.

As i mention a lot in my posts i would bring some colour behind the right menu/navigation. This will help to define the content and menu/navigation area and it will also take away the 'flatness' that an all white site percieves.

Your style sheet needs looking at as in the latest internet explorere the content text is very small.

I have checked out your style sheet and you are using both em, pt and px for sizes. I highly recommend using one form only and i would use px.

For instance in the body style use font-size:12px, this will put all the text on your website to a 12px size and other styles e.g your titles and menu you can then give thier own individual style which would overide the body 12px size.

I would also move your google ads to the bottom of the site, above the footer. It is best that the visitor reads your content first and foremost.

Hope these tips are of some help
