Also, I've been thinking about adding a forum or a social network module. Do you have any thoughts about one or the other? I like the social network module as it lets people upload pictures and such but I think its a bit more work. And I am afraid with the forum or the social network component, people won't shop.

Default Forum Advice

Either is a good idea, however it could give you with two possiblities.

1. Visitors who sign up will talk to each other over the forums, one may buy a product, tell another how good it was which could lead to them making the purchase and this chain could spiral upwards which would be great for you. (for sales)

2. On the other hand, it could become a place to socialise and you may find that the forum members are just happy to discuss their pets and habbits and not necessarily the products your selling/promoting.

Either way i believe either a forum or social networking idea would be a good step as the visitors who sign up would then be loyal to your site and it is a very good method of retaining your visitors interest with your site.

Have you thought of a email capture/mailing list? This is a good idea for affiliates to use as any new product or product updates you can inform them of by direct email which will supply a link directly to your site?

Thanks

Hi Paul
When you say email capture mailing list, do you mean something like constantcontact?

Something like Aweber or Getresponse which makes capturing and communicating with an email list very easy.
