I really like your site and think that you have done a very good job. I would suggest that maybe you should think about the placement of your google ads.
Something I was think of as well. I scrolled right past them to get to the body of the blog. If you can do tables in a blog (I'm blog illiterate) having the google ads right next to the body could help with your clicks
