Default Media Kit - Requesting Review

Hello Everyone,

Its been a while since I posted. Currently I'm trying to develop a Media Kit to offer individuals requesting information about advertising on my site. Figured it would be best to start developing an introduction page to the Media Kit. Looking for reviews on a page currently in development I'd like to release this week. Hope to receive some input from others.

Thanks.

Default Need ideas

Ok, not even one suggestion on my media kit, how about some simple suggestion which will improve the overall professionalism of my site. I need to attract more businesses which will consider advertising on my site. I’m looking for someone with strong editorial and proofing skills.

I don't really understand it and it looks a bit bland with too much figures and facts. While very professional, you need a draw.

Just my 2 cents,

Sheree

Default Thank you

Thank you Sheree,

Maybe the key within your statement is "bland", my only concern with spicing it up with a "WOW" - you have to have sales message, is that the audience I'm appealing too is tried of the sales pitch, they hear it all day or they're saying it themselves all day. Struggling with developing a strategy that will simply get a buyer to say, "Well, I'll give it a chance, maybe it will work".

Thanks again.

I don't mean a sales pitch kind of thing. I never suggest being salesy to anyone. As a matter of fact, I am known to my readers as being 100% anti-pitching. I'm a real social marketing enthusiast and salesy doesn't fly in my world.

Anyway, what I mean is you need to tell us what we are getting out of the deal. Not fact based statistics only but also maybe a bit of emotion. I don't know how to get my point across exactly (very unusual for me and my big, opinionated mouth). What I mean is that you need to somehow trigger them emotionally. What are you going to do for them? How will what you have make their lives better in some way?

See what I mean? I have been taught in my experience that everything we buy is based on an emotional response 1st and then justified with logic.

Grab their attention in a very non-saleslike way and say "Hey, You Need What I Have To Offer. I Am Here To Help Enhance Your Life In Some Way."

Sheree

Default Lacking some emotions

That's it,

I can work with that. You're right, nothing that really appears to the inner self of a potential buyer. I've printed-out your message and I'm going to stare at it for a day or two, then I think I'll get it right.

Thank you

Hi, I would agree - your site offers lots of info, but mostly factual. A blatant sales pitch is not the answer, but neither is the other extreme of no sales message at all.

What makes you and your site unique? Why should someone buy from you?

Once you know these answers, use them on your site!

Good luck!

Kris
