Whoa another upgrade? I just paid someone to upgrade me. Seems like it was just yesterday.

You can do this from your WordPress Dashboard, Linda. No downloads. All you need to know are your FTP login details and the WordPress control panel does all the rest.

Call me chicken but I'm afraid. Every time I upgrade my developer checks to be sure all my plugins are compatible. If something didn't work or the upgrade broke my theme I would not know how to revert back. SO I'd rather stick my chicken little head in the sand and ignore it or pay my guy to do it for me.

Is it a big security update?

I'm currently running 2.7.1. Just had it upgraded maybe 5 weeks ago.

There are some troubles with 2.8 to my understanding, better to wait until things get sorted out.

I uypgraded 2 blogs to 2.8 and I haven't see any issues at all at this point. I have about 20 plug-ins installed and none needed upgrades.

Can you point me to what you've read or heard that suggests 2.8 is problematic?

After talking to my WP guy, I decided to wait, even before reading this. Since it's not a security update and I'm not having any issues that I need updates for I decided to hold out. But then again I'm sort of a
"if it ain't broke, don't fix it" kinda gal when it comes to getting updates done.
