Default IPO Blog

Wow... look at this thing, it a monster... ipopedia.com/ipoblog/

Whats powering it? Is it those RSS Wordpress plugins you were talking about Linda? or something like RSS To Blog?

Shady or smart? It is just RSS with links back, but no permissions granted. Then again who takes copyrights from the first 2 sentences of an article seriously? It's not like even 1% of people actually have copyright documents. Basic rights (to what you create) won't get you much in court. Might get you shut down by your hosting provider.

Shady.

Chances are, this site won't do well in Google or any of the other search engines because it doesn't actually have any original content. Eventually, the site may even be booted from some blog update services because it is nothing more than an aggregate blog with no useful or additional content.

In order to improve the blog, the blogmaster would need to invest some time in it, promote it properly (i.e. explain what it is, if it's simply a way to get IPO news all in one place), and it wouldn't hurt to change the theme so it doesn't look like a 30 minute splog job.

And yes, it is probably put together with something like RSS2B or another RSS aggregation plugin available for WordPress.

Then again, it could be found by a Google snitch and the publisher could find his Adsense account disappearing into a black hole

(For the record I don't condone snitching but these are just the sort of sites that get reported - made for Adsense junk sites with no real value. Adwords advertisers hate them and Google likes to keep it's paying advertisers happy).
