You most important META tag is your title. Use you primary keywords in your title at least once.

Your description tag is the next most important. Provide people who find you in the SE's a good idea of what your site is about. Try to start your description with your primary keywords. Use other keywords also.

Your keyword tag used to be very important; not so much anymore. The keyword stuffers of yesteryear put an end to that.

The search engines are looking for solid content, sprinkled with your keywords throughout. They want to make sure your site is of value. Try to center each page around particular keywords. Let the SEs know exactly what each page is about. Your visitors will find you easier, too. Long-tail keywords are your friends!

One-way backlinks are also very important. The more one-way backlinks you can get from qualified, high PR sites, the better. Stay away from link farms.

That should get you going.

Regards,

Tony Thomas
