I can't offer you much on the way of managing your products, but I do want to clarify that both SAS and CJ are great networks. They're very different though.
If you're still reading tutorials, I would recommend ShareASale. It's less competitive, so you can really test out your strategies and learn what it takes to become a super affiliate marketing machine. (You gotta learn to fly before you can soar). You have time to figure out how products work, whereas on CJ you really can't be messing around.
Despite what you might have heard, CJ is a very respectable network. A lot of big $ merchants are on CJ. CJ has very high standards for its affiliates and merchants, which can be tough to live up to as a newbie. So I'd suggest getting your feet wet with ShareaSale.
You know, also, that you can be in both networks right? This is a great way to take in the benefits of both.
