How Much Does the Platform Matter

Hello all,

Pretty much new here (posted a few way back when)

I had a platform question. We've been in our industry a pretty long time now. We Started an affiliate program, but a large contract took our attention away for a couple years.

We're getting ready to re-launch our program and a lot has changed. My question is about platforms. Sareasale, CJ etc.

I understand the importance of having a large affiliate base, but if our plan is to be very hands on, very proactive with our affiliates, does the platform matter as much?

In other words, CJ is nearly 10K where as others are a couple hundred to start. Im trying to decide if the 10K is actually worth it.

Hi Marc,

I sometimes recommend CJ or Google Affiliate Network for large brands or very large affiliate programs, but otherwise Shareasale is just fine. Most affiliates are on both networks and some affiliates even prefer SAS. Check out Google Affiliate Network before making a final decision though too. Their fees for the self service option are pretty reasonable. SO I would look at GAN and SAS and compare the benefits of each.
