Default Is anyone doing well on Shareasale?

I haven't been real impressed with the offers, but I'm also a little fuzzy on the search mechanism they use, as it doesn't always bring up what I am searching for.

Is anyone doing well with Shareasale?

And if so, what ads are you using?

I know lots of affiliates that really like Shareasale.
Hopefully some will give you some feedback, but most won't tell
you what they are running or what's working because a bunch of affiliates
could be reading the thread, jump in and just create more competition.

I really like ShareASale, the only thing I don't like is your advertisers could run out of money and get low on funds and you don't get any word on it.

I am an incentive site so I like that fact that it will let me know when I apply they won't accept me. I mean I wish they would, but I don't have to wait around to see if I am accepted.

"your advertisers could run out of money and get low on funds and you don't get any word on it"

You can look for merchants that are on auto-deposit and that won't happen, or is less likely to. The merchants that know enough to do auto deposit also I think tend to be a little more professional and pro-active.

You can't even imagine the # of merchants I talk to that say "for $300 set up I can just throw up a campaign and see if it works - what the heck if it doesn't." The ones on auto deposit for the most part are more COMMITTED to making it work.

Every network has campaigns that come and go, and some of the networks do this a lot more often than ShareASale merchants to.

And it certainly is annoying to do all the work to set up traffic, a landing page, etc., and then have a campaign get removed.

I just try to find merchants who have been around for awhile. There is an Active ON: date under the merchant name.

That's a great tip about auto deposit, but I'm not sure where to find that.

I manage several campaigns on ShareASale's network. I realize that the success of any campaign may rely heavily on the COMMISSION structure and EPC, along with the product or service.

Offer incentives for affiliates for their marketing efforts - bonuses for 1st sale or minimum number of sales, etc. Romance your publishers until you find your best partners.

Attract publishers with your high EPC rankings - you want to raise your EPC so that your campaign rises to the top of a particular category (think of Google SEO ranking) - trustworthy PPC partner(s) may help with your EPC. Be willing to pay more for their marketing efforts.

You may also consider Featured Category listings to increase your publisher base, set your campaign to auto-deposit, make sure your sign-up page is EXCITING and 'converts' a publisher!

Also, make sure that your "Organization" name is descriptive of your product or service. For example: Desko Men's Urban Clothiers vs. Desko (the second doesn't describe the product offering).

There is more to do, of course, to build a robust campaign. But I hope this helped, even if just a little! Thanks, Linda, for making this forum available.

Our programs are doing well in Shareasale. Initially we run only 3 of our programs in Shareasale but after the profitable performance of these three programs we decided to run additional three products. Now we have 6 campaigns in shareasale; and I can say that our affiliates are doing well.

The low funds issue
Is a better then not knowing at all. Other networks let merchants go months on end without paying... and they eventually file bankrupty or something, and you loose months of commissions. Personally I prefer to know right this second if there's a problem

It's not always a "problem"
Different merchants set it up differently. I keep $200 on deposit, and trigger the low funds at $50. This way I have more then ample time to replenish the balance

What Triggers It
Most of us are at the mercy of Goog. If I have a page that all of a sudden ranks #1 for a keyword and I start sending a merchant 500 sales a day, it will quickly wipe out his balance

Same rationale if you're a PPC aff. You spend months experimenting... one day you find the keywords and ad copy that works. And in a matter of hours, you can wipe out the merchant's balance.

Lastly, merchants aren't aware that affiliates know what low balance is and they don't even know we can see it! I have one merchant that is low funds every single day. I clicked the merchant history link, and she actually repleneshes her balance on a daily basis.

Last week she sent an email asking us to promote whatever her offer was. I responded with "It makes me quezzy to promote merchants that are always low funds". She's the one who told me she didn't know affiliates had access to her daily dposit history. Because I told her, she raised her balance and trigger amount. But since it's Q4 (more sales by nature), I'm sure she will still be showing low funds.
