My WhyPark.com Experiment

I have joined whypark a month back and doing pretty good. I have not used the RSS feeds yet but will look into it in the near future. I parked around 33 domains with WP, and slowly but surely, they have all been indexed by google. My current revenue sources are adsense, clickbank and other affiliate programs. The adsense revenue started off as a trickle, but I am now getting a steady stream of around $1 per site. I have also had an affiliate sale yesterday. Looking good so far.

In fact I converted one of my domains into a whypark performance review site, where I plan to add more custom pages as I start making more progress in domain parking monetizing.

I think the WP idea is more robust than any of the traditional domain parking strategies.

I am experimenting currently with other features of WP. I am also waiting for the new templates whch WP mentioned they would release shortly.I am excited for sure.

With whypark.com, do you have to have an internet host for your sites? Right now, I have about 25 domains that I registered through 1and1.com and just have them fowarded to Sedo. If I join whypark.com, will I have to pay for hosting service in order to use whypark?

Other than the one-time fee, you don't have to pay for hosting service to use WhyPark. From your 1 and 1 account you just change the nameserver to WhyPark.

WhyPark has now started adding some templates and will continue to add more.

Sorry for delay in getting back to you all here on this experiment. My duties with the USAF have been a little hectic lately.

Yes, as many of you have noticed WhyPark has added some new custom templates to the layout section. They're pretty good to get you started.

I've been thinking about having some CSS templates designed to better optimize my WhyPark sites for even better Adsense placement. Has anyone hacked a CSS WhyPark template yet?

In addition, as I see more marketers are using this platform what has been the most effective method of marketing your WhyPark sites? Personally, blogging has yielded the best results for me.

Also....here's a big one I thought of the other day.

KONTERA

You can further optimize your WhyPark sites by adding KONTERA code to your sites through the LAYOUT function at the very bottom of the HTML section. I'm waiting for approval first for my sites from Kontera and then I will test it out. This is a big one because KONTERA intext ads average a conversion rate of about 2.5% and you can place them on the same pages as Adsense. =)

I am getting ready to fire off an e-mail to Craig at WhyPark because I just went through my sites and noticed they are all hacked! They are now all focused on PIZZA! Not good...not good indeed....

Be back to post more on this outage in a bit. These things happen, I just hope they have the right infrastructure in place to get it moving again ASAP.

No kidding right? Complete revenue killer for me right now. Thousands of indexed pages and 0 traffic to my ads and affiliate programs. Still no word from Craig...I'm sure they VERY busy right now trying to rectify this situation and assure their customres it will not happen again.....at least for a lenghty duration. No one can completely protect themselves from hackers.

I'm a new forum member from the uk, and have recently signed up to whypark. I currently have about 40 domains under whypark which were making very little under standard parking. I have earned a small amount through adsense and affiliate links and find the system to be very good.
The new template look very good and you can alter them to how you like.
Most of my domains are .co.uk

The recent hack of whypark was a real pain.

Unfortunately at the moment the main articles are also the same as the related articles.
I'm sure it will all be sorted out soon.

Yeah that was a pain but it did clear up pretty quick. I see you've done a little work on the templates for those sites as well. Pretty cool! They don't look too generic at all.

Are you doing a geo-targeted Adwords campaign for your utility site? That might convert well for you and competition is probably low.

BTW, WhyPark is also in the process of rolling out some new features too so keep a close eye on your inbox. More to come on this soon.

Hi Stephen,,,,thanks for the responce.
I do like the whypark way of producing content filled sites, it is very quick to produce a good looking webpage with content, easy templates to add adsense and affiliate links and they get listed on google very quickly.

I will be expanding the cheaperutility websites at some stage as i own the .com/.net and .co.uk. Utility companies in the uk have very good affiliate links at the moment due to the high competition for gas and electric supply in the uk.

Your site with your list of whypark sites and the sign up link is an excellent idea. If only there was 100hrs in a day !!.....guess i will get round to everything eventually.

As an example of the quick google listing and high position using whypark, I put a domain on whypark on 20th February 2007 and searched for it today on google and it came second in the Results 1 - 10 of about 2,090,000,000 for go top. (0.04 seconds) search term of two words "go top".

I am sure whypark will keep making improvements. I will keep you informed if i come up with any usefull advice.
