Joomla is a very powerful Content manager.
I use it for all my sites, but it took a while to learn how the system works.

Firstly, if you want to learn Joomla, I suggest you start looking at the help files on the Joomla site - Joomla! Help Site.

Like I said before, Joomla is very powerful, and if you are looking at building your first website, I would suggest using something with less of a learning curve, such as Word Press.

But if you are adamant on learning Joomla, feel free to ask any specific questions you may have!
