You probably know about Google Trends that measures search queries. Google Trends For Websites is different. You might want to consider it something similar to Alexa.
Google Trends for Websites gives estimates. According to Google:

Based on this sites that opt-in to share their Google Analytics data will have results that are more accurate than those that don't.
You can compare up to 5 sites at a time with color coded results and bar graphs and charts for each site. Some smaller sites might not yet be included.
Among other uses you'll be able to determine related keywords and searches from visitors to your site as well as those of your competitors.
