Default Something new coming from Chitika

I have been using Chitika since they first started. I am not going to say a lot of great things about how sensational Chitika is because I don't have any sites that are the perfect sites for Chitika. I do earn money with them but it would be much more with the right kind of site.

Many of you will remember all of the excitement over Chitika when they began. Many blogs were loaded with all types of great comments about Chitika. Of course some of those people had Chitika links that could earn them money if they got people to join and then those people produced some sales.

While some promoted Chitika for their own financial reasons, there were some who did so because Chitika really did sound fantastic and they felt it was something that would make a great deal of money for many people.

People started to jump on the Chitika bandwagon and a large number of people joined and put Chitika code on their sites and/or blogs. But as time passed, many of these people were not pleased with their Chitika results and dropped them.

As with any program, what works well for one person might not for another. It depends on a lot of factors. With Chitika it helps a lot if you have a site that is related to products. For example, if you have a site about cameras you have a much better chance of doing well with Chitika than if you have a site about birds. Product sites are the ones that work best with Chitika.

I have stuck with Chitika, even though I would like better results, because I look at the stats and try to view them as being a CPM program even though that isn't the case. I use Chitika on extra space that I have and when I look at their numbers as being CPM they aren't all that bad and are a lot better than some CPM programs I've tried. So when looking at them like that, for me I can still get some benefit from them.

Chitika has come up with something new called Chitika Shoplinc. It is a branded shop. According to Chitika
Quote:
With Chitika | ShopLincs (SM) you can promote hand selected products of your choice, expert reviews and paid listings/offers from name brand merchants.
Right now Chitika Shoplinc is being made available only to certain publishers on an invitation only basis. But they have future plans to allow others to apply.

Here is a link to a Chitika ShopLinc tour Chitika|ShopLinc

If you have never tried Chitika and would like to see if maybe it is for you, here is a link to their site Chitika, Inc. » A Blog Advertising Company » Home

You can now request an invitation for Chitika Shoplinc, which is their new customized CPC-based shopping destination for your website or blog.

You will need to request an invitation. Here are the basic qualifications
Quote:
To be able to join our network of ShopLinc shopping destinations, your site MUST:

- Represent merchandising related specialty content such as product reviews, recommendations, discussions, etc. ShopLincs are not a good match for portals, search engines, and sites with minimal content but with links to other people's content.

- Consist of English content only. We are currently not offering this service to sites with non-English content.
