A number of people find uses for online word processors at times, and there are others out there. But Writely comes from Google. This means it is going to get a lot of attention.
Google bought Writely in March of this year (2006). However they closed registration to new members after they bought it and have just opened up registration again.
Writely is an ajax-rich online word processor. It is free and relatively easy to use. You can share documents, store your documents securely online and edit your documents from anywhere.
