Default You should backup. Why don't you?

When it comes to backing up I almost go overboard with it because it is so very important. However, for some reason, there are some people who don't back up their site or dedicated server. I've really wondered why they don't.

I have a rather good idea why some people don't backup. They just don't want to take the time to do it. There are those who might say they are just lazy. Some people might not do it because they believe it is being done for them by their host. Sometimes the host isn't doing what they thought the host was doing and they are in for an unpleasant surprise.

Many times people will have a disaster and then wish they had backed up. After the disaster many of these people still won't backup.

Among some people there might be a feeling that there is no need to backup because nothing will ever go wrong.

I guess it is possible that some people have what they consider to be real good reasons not to backup. It might be interesting to hear those reasons.

5 Star members and visitors would probably enjoy hearing your reasons and by writing them it might make you decide that possibly you should make a change.

If you don't back up your site or dedicated server, why don't you? Or you might want to give your thoughts on some of the reasons people don't backup.
