Default How to check the security reputation of your site

There is an easy way for you to find out the security reputation of your site in case you might be wondering.

There is a free domain health check Web service that will give you the reputation of your domain. You sign up and you'll receive an e-mail report on the security of your domain as seen and correlated from thousands of points around the world.

This service is provided by Secure Computing, which is a gateway security company. Their new tool will let you know if your site is a good or bad Internet citizen.

Your report gives a snapshot of your domain's security reputation regarding Web and e-mail traffic. Reputation scores are figured based on behavior data captured in real-time by Secure Computing's TrustedSource reputation service. A reputation score indicates whether a site is in good standing, or if it may have been compromised and is being used in evil ways. The report also contains suggestions on how to correct the problems.

Secure Computing call this service Domain Health Check. Here is a link to it if you want to give it a try Welcome to Secure Computing® Domain Health Check™

This is a dumb question but do you have to be a member of that site in order to use that link? I clicked the link in your post and tried two different emails but they said I wasn't allowed.

purplebear, I'm not sure what happened. I had the same problem. But there is a way around it which I checked and it worked.

When you enter the e-mail address and receive a reply back saying you aren't allowed to request a report from that particular address, you will notice in the upper right hand corner you will see:

Enter IP address, CIDR range, or domain name:

Just do that and it will give you a report that you can view. It gives a lot of information, depending on the size of the site. Try doing that and see if it works for you.

ummm gives a lot of information if you're a biggie. lol I'm a teeny weeny...so didn't get much info. lol What you suggested did work, tho. I put in my domain name. About my only stat was a preference 10. Do you know what that means?
I actually don't get a whole lot of mail from the email for the site. Maybe 2 or 3 spam messages every few days. They manage to get me at just about all the email addresses I have, though. lol Maybe the host has a fairly good spam blocker.

purplebear, this link will give you a fair amount of information on how it all works

TrustedSource™ Portal

You can probably get a much better idea as to what it does by checking a few very large sites and clicking on some of the links that are in the report.

Yeap, you're right. I checked out quite a few other similar type sites with mine and there actually wasn't a whole lot of difference except for one. Then, I checked on Google. lol Whole lotta stuff on them.
Thanks for including this. I love all these types of tools where you can find out stuff.
