Default Google Online Security Blog

Google has launched an online security blog. That is actually very big news because Google is taking online security very seriously and usually when Google gets involved in something in a big way, a lot of things change.

The blog is written by members of the Google Anti-Malware team. This team has been around for a while but wasn't too well known about by the public.

This new security blog is going to deal with the big malware problem. Google is very capable of tracking malware.

The Google Online Security Blog plans to keep the public informed with periodic updates on findings, trends and Google's online security work.

In case you want to check it out, here is a link to the Google Online Security Blog Google Online Security Blog

Google seems to be very dedicated to this blog and is updating the Google Online Security Blog on a regular basis with some high quality material.

When I made my first post about this the blog was new and didn't have much. Things have changed since then.

Google has launched the Safe Browsing API. It make it possible to download Google's lists of suspected phishing and malware URLs. This will give you access to the blacklists used in products such as Firefox and Google Desktop. There is a blog post about this new API.

I think all of us have an interest in online security. This is a very helpful blog to keep an eye on. Here is the link again Google Online Security Blog

This is a great resource. More people should be reading it because of the valuable information it provides that could help them avoid some very serious problems.

Recently it had a post about the fact that it has been about a year and a half since Google started to identify web pages that attempt to exploit their visitors by installing and running malware automatically. In that time they have found more than 3 million unique URLs automatically installing malware. They investigated how users are being exposed to malware and how it is being distributed.

Google provides very detailed information about this as well as steps users should be taking to help protect themselves.

Here is that post Google Online Security Blog: All Your iFrame Are Point to Us

If you have never taken a look at the Google Online Security Blog, you really should put it at the top of you list of things to do.

You can find it here Google Online Security Blog
