A big source of spam has been arrested. He is called a "spam king" because of the volume of spamming he did.
Robert Alan Soloway has been arrested and indicted on multiple counts of money laundering, wire fraud, mail fraud, and identity theft by a federal grand jury.
If convicted on all charges he could be sentenced to 65 years in federal prison. However it is expected to be less than that.
Soloway is said to have constantly violated the CAN-SPAM Act, failed to pay multi-million dollar judgments to Microsoft and to an Oklahoma-based ISP who sued him for spamming, and ignored injunctions against his spamming activities.
Robert Allan Soloway is said to be one of the 10 top spammers in the world.
