Google Antivirus is closer with GreenBorder
Google has made it know that it is very concerned about online security and wants to do what it can to improve it. Some have even speculated that there might eventually be a Google Antivirus.
A few weeks ago Google bought GreenBorder, which creates security software. Any viruses, spyware or trojans you pick up during your browsing session are deleted as soon as you close your browser.
GreenBorder places a green border around your browser window when GreenBorder is active, to let you know your session is being contained and that websites will not make any changes to your computer.
GreenBorder software doesn't need to be updated to protect against new threats.
GreenBorder has a price of $29.95. But when Google buys a company, what that company was selling often becomes free.
It is not exactly known why Google bought GreenBorder, but many feel Google has some big security plans in mind and this is just one piece of the puzzle.
