Yahoo has added a new search feature that they call Search Assist. Yahoo does allow for the feature to be turned off. Audio, video and photos have also been integrated directly into the search results.
Search Assist gives query suggestions and related topics. A drop down menu opens which contains suggestions and related concepts. With the multimedia integrated directly into the search results users don't leave the page.
New search shortcuts have also been introduced.
These new search features from Yahoo, including Search Assist, are available in the United States now. Serach Assist will be available in the United Kingdom soon and in other locations later.
