Google Analytics is adding new features

I like Google Analytics and have found it to be very useful. Now Google is going to be adding some new features that will make Google Analytics even more useful.

You will be able to use Google Analytics to track site search activity.

Google Analytics Event Tracking will help you understand how people use and interact with Ajax, Flash and multimedia on your site.

There will also be Outbound Link Tracking.

Google Analytics has announced the addition of industry benchmarking to those who want it. It is free as most people would probably expect.

Benchmarking allows you to see how the statistics for your site compare against other industry verticals.

At the present time you can compare your site's Visits, Pageviews, Pages per Visit, Bounce Rate, Average Time on Site, and New Visits data.
